Changes hanges to my study program.
Hello everyone, I hope you had a great week! Today I am going to talk to you about the changes that could be made in my career, which is social work at the University of Chile.
The only thing I would add or change would be more courses in the field, courses that have contact with people, because as social workers it is essential to have that practice with people. Most or almost all of the courses are theoretical, which is why I would change the syllabus to more courses with field work and contact with groups and people, to better prepare us as social workers.
The study load is not as heavy as in other degrees, but that doesn't mean that it is not stressful or difficult, as we have to read a lot. The only thing I would change would be the organisation and scheduling of the courses, as sometimes the evaluations are very close together, generating a lot of stress among the students. I think the length of the course is fine.
The facilities of the Faculty of Social Sciences (FACSO) need several improvements, especially in the old building, both in terms of space in the lecture halls and in terms of improving the cafeterias, as they are not big enough for the whole faculty. In addition, they could take better advantage of the technology available to them to make good hybrid classes so that learning is equal for those who are zoomed in.

Hi! it would be great to have more practice with people
